Image-to-image

Transform, remix, reimagine

Image-to-image generation takes an existing image as a starting point and transforms it based on your prompt. Instead of creating something entirely from scratch, the model uses the composition, colours, and structure of your source image as a guide.

This is great for exploring variations of an image you like — changing the style, mood, or medium while keeping the same basic composition.

How to use image-to-image

Step by step

1. Find an image you like

Browse Endlss and find an image you'd like to use as a starting point. Tap on it to open the explore view.

:::card{title="2. Tap "Generate like this""} On the explore view, you'll see a "Generate like this" option. Tapping it takes you to the Generate page with that image pre-loaded as your source. :::

3. Choose a compatible model

Not all models support image-to-image. Currently, WAN 2.1 14B is the main model with image-to-image support. Select it from the model dropdown.

4. Write a prompt

Your prompt tells the model how to transform the image. You might keep the same subject but change the style: "oil painting, thick brushstrokes, impressionist" or change the setting: "same scene but underwater, coral reef, tropical fish".

5. Generate

Hit Generate. The result will blend the structure of your source image with the direction from your prompt. Results are delivered to your Inbox.

Tips

Getting the most from img2img

The source image provides the composition and structure. Your prompt provides the style and direction. The more different your prompt is from the source, the more the model will deviate from the original — which can be exciting or unpredictable.

For subtle variations, keep your prompt close to the original subject. For dramatic transformations, push the prompt in a completely different direction.
